Cradled behind the greenery and between the hills, the allure of White Sand Beach lies in its serene setting and calmer waves. It’s a unique combination of boulders, white sand streaked with black, and fantastic views of the rocky islet of Gili Biaha on the horizon. White Sand Beach is also known as Virgin Beach, and it is known as a secluded beach where wonders are waiting to be discovered. Interestingly enough, the sand of the beach is a mixture of white and black sand with the black ones originated from the erupted Mount Agung, making it a unique sight on White Sand Beach. The busy southern end of the beach is lined with fishermen boats. Aside from the several stalls and cafes, there is not much development going on here, making it an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere thanks to its deserted nature. The waters are calm where you can enjoy a swim, and there are even local masseuses to let you enjoy a truly relaxing Balinese massage.
The main activities to be carried out here on White Sand Beach include snorkeling besides swimming and playing with the magical sand of white and black. Clear waters allow for great snorkeling, and you can even rent equipment for your convenience. You can also hire fishing boats to bring you further out to sea, where bigger marine creatures can be spotted. However, sea conditions surrounding White Sand Beach can be quite rough at times, so it is advisable to be extra careful, especially traveling with children.
