Ko Haa, which translates to “Five Islands” in Thai, is located 45-minutes from Koh Lanta and Koh Phi Phi by boat. The set of five islands is home to a great variety of marine life, both big and small. If the season is right, swimming with manta rays or whale sharks is indeed possible in here, through a stunning cerulean shade of blue water, the brilliance of which is enhanced by the white sands of the ocean bottom. But even if you are not diving, the crystal clear shallow waters between the islands offers insight on a wealth of exciting sea life while you are snorkeling between the islands, starting from Hawksbill Turtles and Stingrays to Mantis Shrimps and Lionfish. Koh Haa is a fantastic place to rest and dive or snorkel if you are taking a vacation in Southern Thailand, and particularly in Krabi, Koh Lanta, or Phuket.
